Watch files, rows, or pages
- Open Triggers, click Create, and scroll to SharePoint, Database (row inserted), and Web Monitor. Choose the source you want to watch.
- For new files, choose SharePoint. In Create SharePoint Trigger, open Select a folder to monitor (optional). If the picker says No SharePoint sites connected, connect a site before continuing. Open the connected site, its library, and the folder you want to watch. Click Select this folder. To use the site instead, choose Use entire site (any folder). Click Create and look for SharePoint Trigger.
- For new rows, choose Database (row inserted). In Create Database Trigger, select Database, then Table. Create becomes available after both are chosen. Click it and check the database and table under Database Trigger (1).
- For web pages, choose Web Monitor. In New Web Monitor, enter Monitor name and URLs to watch (one per line, max 200). Set Check frequency. For a weekly check, use Specific Days of Week, choose Mon, and set Time. Review Schedule: and Timezone:.
- Describe the change you care about under Goal. This field is optional. Review Filter noise with the meaningful-change judge, then click Create Monitor. Look for your monitor in the trigger list.
Good to know
- SharePoint triggers start on file creation. The folder is optional, but you need a connected site to watch its files.
- SharePoint file-created triggers watch each site’s default document library. Choosing the entire site does not add its other libraries.
- Database triggers watch inserts into the table you explicitly select. Inserts made outside Athena count too. The inserted row is passed to the AOP.
- Web Monitor is Beta. You can list up to 200 URLs. It checks on a schedule and starts a run only when a meaningful change is detected. The change diff is provided as event context.
