Contact your workspace administrator or Athena support to obtain your dedicated SMS number for communicating with Athena.
Send your first message

Receive responses
Athena will process your request and send responses back via SMS. For complex tasks, you may receive multiple messages or a link to view detailed results in your workspace.
Continue the conversation

Connect Slack to your workspace
Navigate to Settings and select the Integrations tab. Find Slack in the list of available integrations and click Connect.Authorize Athena to access your Slack workspace by following the OAuth flow. Add Athena to channels
In Slack, type /invite @Athena in any channel where you want Athena to be available. Athena will join the channel and can respond to mentions and direct questions.

You can add custom instructions to guide how Athena responds during the call. The default Athena persona works well for most conversations.

Speak naturally as you would in a conversation. You can ask questions, brainstorm ideas, or simply think out loud. After Your Call
Once you end the call, Athena automatically processes the conversation. The call recording and full transcript appear in your workspace with live refresh, so you can see the content as it’s being processed.The transcript becomes a searchable asset that you can reference later. To query your call content, use the @ symbol to tag the call asset in a new chat, then ask questions about what you discussed. This makes phone calls a powerful way to capture context that you can later search, summarize, or build upon.Phone calls are great for capturing ideas on the go. Have a 20-30 minute brainstorming session while walking, then later reference the transcript to extract action items or key insights.
During the pilot period, phone calls are optimized for speed rather than full tool usage. Athena may not be able to create documents or perform complex actions during a call, but you can always follow up in chat afterward.
