# Share a working set of assets

> Copy one link to a pane of assets and grant access to the eligible assets together

You can copy one link to the assets open in a pane or share those assets together. Use this when someone needs the same working set for a review or handoff. The link opens the referenced assets. Sharing changes access separately, and each asset keeps its own permission checks.

  7. Send the link

## Copy a link to open assets

1. Open the assets you want to include in the same pane in Spaces.
2. Right-click an empty part of that pane's tab bar, or open its menu button.
3. Select **Copy Link (N)**, where N is the number of included asset tabs.
4. Send the copied link to your recipient. Confirm that they already have access, or share the eligible assets using the steps below.

The action includes asset tabs in that pane. It excludes special panes such as the file browser. If a tab shows a pinned version, the copied link preserves that version reference.

## Grant access to the set

1. Open the same pane menu and select **Share (N)…**. N is the number of asset tabs.
2. Review the asset rows. Locked rows explain why an asset is skipped. Only assets you can share are included in the permission update.
3. Choose the people or workspace groups that need access. Check the permission selector. It starts on **Can edit**, so a person you add without changing it gets edit access. Choose **Can view** if they only need to read.
4. Select **Share**. If some rows are skipped, the button reads **Share K of N** with the number it will share.
5. Check the result. A warning reports failed share operations. Review the affected assets' access before assuming the recipient can open the entire set.

## Limits

You must own an asset to share it through this dialog. Live files from connected sources, catalog assets, secrets, and protected assets cannot be shared this way. People assets are also skipped, and so is a file that cannot load, which appears as **Unavailable asset**. A locked row gives no warning. A warning appears only when a share call fails. The **Copy Link (N)** button inside the dialog still counts the locked asset.

Copying a link grants no access. A recipient needs permission for every referenced asset, including any connected-source access it requires. Sharing can partly succeed. Successful updates remain even if another operation fails. A recipient appears in the success confirmation only when all attempted eligible-asset shares for that recipient succeed.
