  In this lesson, you'll turn last week's deck chat into an AOP, test it on a new week, and schedule it for Monday mornings.

  Your weekly deck can build itself. Start from the chat where you made it last week, and checked every slide. Those steps already worked, so they make a good procedure. Open it again from Sessions. Add the AOP toolkit, and ask Athena to turn this conversation into an AOP. Say what changes each week: the newest week's files, the same template, and where to save the deck. Athena writes the AOP from what you actually did.

  Read the steps once now, and every Monday's deck comes out the way you want. Each run follows this prompt, so make sure it says what you mean. Check that it finds the newest week, uses the right template, and saves the deck under a clear name. Add anything your review caught last time. Here, Jordan wants a missing carrier file called out on the first slide. Edit the line directly.

  Test it on a new week first, so you know Monday's deck will be one you'd send. This week's carrier files have landed. Ask Athena to run the AOP now. Then open the deck it made, and check it the way you did by hand: the right week, every carrier, the flag on slide one. The run is listed under Runs, so you can open it later and see each step. If the deck is right, it's ready to schedule.

  Now the deck can build itself every Monday morning. Ask for the schedule in plain words: every Monday at 7:30, Eastern time. Athena asks before it sets a schedule, and shows you what it will set. Check it, and approve. That approval covers the schedule, not every action a future run takes. Scheduled runs act as you. If a step still needs your approval, the run pauses and waits for your decision. The schedule now shows under Triggers.

  Quick check. You approved the schedule. Does that also approve the emails a Monday run sends? No. It only approves the schedule. Any step that still needs your approval pauses for your decision.

  Here's how an operations team uses this. They turned their Monday status pack into an AOP, from the chat that built it. They ran it by hand on a fresh week, fixed one step, then scheduled it. When the inputs change shape, they run it by hand again before trusting Monday.

  Try it in your own workspace with this prompt. Look for AOP executed successfully on the hand run, then an approval card before the schedule is created.

## Before you start

Upload these files from the [Northwind starter kit](/docs/athena-101/starter-kit): The deck, sheet, and memo in **Checkpoints/Lesson 08**; **Northwind corporate template.pptx**; **Northwind exceptions template.xlsx**; the **Northwind carrier files** folder with both weeks; and **Lesson 13/Expected carriers.txt**.

If you have no saved deck conversation, start a fresh chat with the checkpoint files and review the result first. Follow **Workspace setup.txt** to create the saved procedure. Scheduling may need an admin; if it is unavailable, run the procedure by hand. Schedule approval does not approve later actions.

## Steps

<Steps>
  <Step title="Reuse the checked conversation">
    Open the checked deck conversation under **Sessions**, or start a fresh chat with the checkpoint files and review the deck. Ask Athena to turn it into an AOP, a saved procedure, using the newest files and the same template.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the procedure">
    Read the steps before running it. Check the week, template, and destination, and add a rule to flag missing carrier files.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test on a new week">
    Ask Athena to run it now and open the resulting deck. Check its sources, completeness, and missing-file warning, then inspect the run under **Runs**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Schedule the checked work">
    Ask for Monday morning in your time zone and review the schedule before approving. That decision creates the schedule; later runs use your access and still need any required action approvals.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Try it

> Turn this session into an AOP, run it once now on this week's files, and then schedule it for Mondays at 7:30 AM.

Look for a successful manual run, then an approval request before the schedule is created.
