  Welcome to Athena 101. In the next two minutes, you'll learn your way around. Where your work lives, how to start a chat, and how to find anything again.

  This is Today, your first stop each morning. Once your work is connected, Athena gathers your priorities and meeting prep here. On a new account it starts empty, and that's fine. You can connect your tools later, or start right away with the sample files.

  The rail on the left takes you everywhere. Hover an icon to see its name. Spaces is where your work lives. Files, chats and projects sit in this sidebar. For now it's empty. Bring files in with Import files, or create something new with the plus. And this box is how you work with Athena. Type a question, or tag a file with the at sign.

  Every chat is saved. Sessions lists them, newest first, so you can pick up where you left off. To find anything else, use search, or press Command K from anywhere. Search covers your files and chats now, and your email and drives once you connect them.

  Integrations is where you connect your email, files and data. Some connections need your admin's approval. You don't have to wait for it. Every lesson also works with the Northwind starter kit, so you can follow along today.

  Quick check. Where do you go to pick up yesterday's chat? Sessions. Or search for it.

  Now try it. Start a new chat in Spaces, and ask Athena this. When it works, your new chat appears under Sessions.

## Before you start

Start with an empty workspace. No files, connections, or admin setup are needed.

## Steps

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find your starting point">
    Open **Today**. An empty page is expected when nothing is connected; you can start with sample files.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start your work">
    Open **Spaces** to find files, chats, and projects. Use **Import files** to bring files in, or the plus to create something. Type a question in chat; type @ to select a file once you have uploaded one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find it again">
    Open **Sessions** to return to a saved chat. Use search, or press **Command K**, to find a file or conversation by name.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Try it

Ask Athena: “What can you help me with today?” Then find that chat under **Sessions**.

## Invite your team

Invite a teammate so you can practice the shared work later in the course. If invitations need an admin, continue on your own while they arrange access.
